The Medical Student Research Journal (MSRJ) published at Michigan State University is seeking out high quality manuscripts from medical students around the world. According to the editors, “Our goal is to publish great work from aspiring students who want to improve their writing and critical thinking skills, and to gain experience in the field of academic medicine and publishing.”
The deadline for the next issue (Winter 2013) is October 1st, and the deadline for the Spring 2014 Issue is February 15th. For more submission details, see the MSRJ author guidelines.
The MSRJ, sponsored by Michigan State’s College of Human Medicine, is the only online academic journal in the U.S. operated by medical students for medical students.
The MSRJ provides medical students with an excellent opportunity to publish, review manuscripts, or learn about the peer review process and all aspects of journal operations. All manuscripts undergo a strict peer review by students who have completed specialized training. Manuscript submissions are accepted from medical students worldwide.
The MSRJ also seeks highly qualified medical students to enhance their skills by becoming a reviewer for the journal. See more details about online reviewer training.
